Hearing loss due to noise exposure is permanent but preventable. The HSE estimate that over 1 million employees in Great Britain are exposed to levels of noise which put their hearing at risk. Employers are under a legal obligation to assess the risks of noise exposure and put in place measure that will protect the employees hearing.
